Gabriele Moretti – a warm welcome to Furka Reibbeläge AG

Gabriele Moretti brings to our team the strength of his dynamic approach and solid background, gained through over three decades all spent working in the rail industry, mostly in international projects. He got started from a mechanical design department by Poli, Italy, working on brake discs and bogie-mounted brake equipment first, to grow then into cross-the-company roles including project engineering, product specification and validation testing, the lead of aftersales support and attendance to CEN work sessions (TC 256, brake component design, brake calculations).

After being contracted by TTB Corp. and later on by Wabtec Passenger Transit, USA, Gabriele has been involved in engineering, procurement of safety-critical brake components and international business development, including full technical support to hydraulic-brake system proposals for mass-transit applications (trams, LRV’s). As a freelance contractor, he has been also extending the range of his experience over time, primarily in vehicle overhaul and modernization projects which typically require integration of various onboard systems and technologies. The entire Furka team warmly welcomes Gabriele and is looking forward to a successful cooperation!
